Interagency Coordinating Group
Another group created by House Bill 492, 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, was the Interagency Coordinating Group (ICG). According to the bill, the ICG was created to "work across state agencies and with the State Commission on National and Community Service to facilitate the removal of unnecessary interagency barriers to partnerships between state agencies and faith- and community-based organizations; and operate in a manner that promotes effective partnerships between those agencies and organizations to serve residents of this state who need assistance."
